Yup, we got one of these on eBay 6 years ago for $900. I wih I could say the experience was better, but our Goodman furnace was broken more than it worked. We bit the bullet and had a new system installed again this year.

If I will say one thing for it, the cheap goodman furnace got us through 5 more winters when I was out of work and needed heat! Thats about the only good thing I can say.

I just wanted to say that we have had the opposite experience of Simon with our Goodman furnace. We had it installed by a highly recommended local HVAC contractor and had no issues at all from our 6 year old Goodman system!

It was affordable and has served us well.

I will never buy a Goodman furnace. When I bought this house, it had a Goodman downdraft furnace installed. It has been a nightmare. I have replaced the circuit board once. A couple of wires in the wiring harness, and the pressure switch. It still doesn’t work properly. During the winter I can count on it faulting several times a week. I can hear it happening when the inducer motor starts and stops several times before continuing the heat cycle – except for those times when it times out and sits in wait mode for an hour before it tries again. As far as I am concerned, this furnace is a piece of junk.
